List Building Techniques – Interviewing Experts
One of the most effective yet underused list building techniques in my opinion is creating audio interviews with experts in your niche. By creating audio interviews with an expert in your niche and you will have a unique and enticing gift to convert your potential prospects into subscribers.

Simple mp3 recordings of you interviewing an expert in your niche are a simple but powerful way to add subscribers to your list. These recordings can be used as a downloadable opt in gift for your potential prospects.
This is one of those list building techniques that most marketers overlook or think that it is to complicated to set up!
In my experience an audio interview with someone seen as an authority in their niche can lead to great conversions on the squeeze page assuming the squeeze page has been well optimized. This builds instant credibility and authority and increases brand awareness.
This one marketing tactic can see your newsletter or squeeze page spread all over the web.
This is one of list building techniques may not be as effective as it once was in the internet marketing/ make money online niche as most marketers are accustomed to even the most extreme marketing funnels. However this works great in other niche markets.
List Building Techniques – Setting Up The Interviews
To set up the interview you would need to contact some of the big name authority figures in your niche market and ask if they would be willing to do a short interview on skype.

Well most FAQ pages at FAQS.Org/faq/ have who its written by and an email address for them. Also you could try contacting them via their website or blog. Most of these sites or blogs will have a contact link where you can forward them an e-mail.
Following their blog and leaving comments or connecting them with via social networks such as Facebook and Twitter is also a great way to get noticed before approaching them about the interview.
These people are obviously very knowledgeable in their fields, and they would make great experts to interview. It’s sometimes worth just taking a little time to research them, so you can best approach them and plan accordingly for the interview.
Tell them you want to interview them because you’ve read information they’ve written and it was great and you think your subscribers would appreciate the information that they will be able to share during the interview.
You will be surprised at just how many agree, as it means more exposure for them and their company.
Always offer the other party rights to the recording so that they can use the content in their own campaigns.
To set the interview up you could use skype and download some third party 
recording software. There are both free and paid versions of skype recording software, I have always used a free version and have had no problems.
Remember to plan ahead of the interview and draft some questions and an introduction to the interview. As the “interviewer”, you’ll not have to do much speaking, just be the guide and have a clear opening to the interview and a closure, with your questions sprinkled throughout the interview.
The first interview can be nerve wracking but they always tend to flow smoothly, as long as you have planned ahead and have a series of questions to ask your guest.
That’s a surefire way to get your first product out there and have a unique, powerful gift to offer the prospects who land on your squeeze page.
This also allows you the opportunity to “ride the wave” of your guest speakers authority status and build instant trust and establish credibility with your new subscribers.
Now to take things one step further, you could take that same audio interview and allow certain giveaway rights to your subscribers, or to anyone who obtains a copy. Again it may be worth while just getting the consent of your guest speaker in the interview to do so. But allowing others to share the interview will mean more exposure for them as well as you, so there’s no reason they should say no.
Although this may not increase your sign up rate, it will certainly help your name be spread around the web and provide increased exposure!
